Human Rights Activist & Organizer for Geneva
Franziska Egli Beller is one of the co-organizers of the first Women's March in Geneva in January 2017 and part of the executive committee of our chapter. I plan events and bring other local or national organisations/associations/political parties to co-host actions with us. Franziska leads the effort to engage with students on our movement by discussing different gender issues together (so far we have worked with one international school in Geneva) and we are planning to hold a 16 days action in Nov/Dec.2018 to end violence against women & girls in collaboration with the White Ribbon at one of the schools. Before joining Women's March Global, Franziska has been more than 10 years an active member of another women's right organisations in Geneva. In my daily job, I work as en executive recruiter and advise individuals and corporations on different HR issues. Franziska holds a Master's degree in Russian language & literature from the University of Geneva.
In my free time, I enjoy socialising, reading, practising yoga, hiking and biking. Franziska grew up in the Swiss German part and moved for her university studies to Geneva. However travelling to different countries and learning about other cultures has always been very important to me. Therefore Franziska has spent several months in Russia and in many countries in South America.
