I experienced a revolution, a war, and an escape from my country due to atrocities against women. Our once equal and progressive country was/is stripped of women's rights, forced to cover ourselves, and forced out of the workforce and education. No divorce rights and no rights to their children.

I want to be involved with fighting for equality (now!) for all women, in particular, our sisters who in the name of marriage are enslaved and raped without any ability to ever stand on their own feet and protect themselves and their children from their abusers called "husband". I am sick and tired of men in governments making decisions for women.

Women are the forgotten slaves!
