Nigerian women were in solidarity with Women’s March Global a year ago.
Nigeria women rise, millions strong, around the world to answer the call against injustice and hatred. We marched together with Global Women — because injustice knows no borders.
And one year later, we are still here.
In 2017 we have stood against the hateful rise of fascism and nationalism. We stood against the injustice of slavery and stood for the rights of refugees, migrants, and asylum seekers. We called on governments to hear our votes and to lead with courage as they create policies that affect us all.
And we are still marching.
We march forward into 2018 in the pursuit of a united world — united by love over fear, compassion over hate, and justice in the face of every form of injustice. We march against all those who seek to divide humanity by walls of any form and we march for peace.
Because This Is Global. Because We Are Global. Because we are here to stay.
