THIS IS A NON-PARTISAN MARCH AND ALL PROGRESSIVE WOMEN ARE INVITED ACROSS THE BOARD: TOGETHER WE RISE#: 4TH ANNUAL WOMEN'S MARCH CLEVELAND/NORTHEAST OHIO ANNIVERSARY EVENT ON THE STEPS OF CLEVELAND CITY HALL: Contact tel (216) 659-0473. This event is Jan 18, 2020 on the steps of Cleveland City Hall in downtown Cleveland at 601 Lakeside Ave, and is grassroots organized. It will begin at 10:30 am with 10:45 am speeches and a noon march. Keynote speakers are Cleveland Rape Crisis Center CEO Sondra Miller, Ohio Rep Juanita Brent of Cleveland and the Rev Tony Minor. The opening speaker is Ohio Sen Nickie Antonio of Lakewood. Seven groups of combined activist groups will also speak for 6 min each combined group. Issues range from the policies out of Washington, D.C. and civil, voting and reproductive rights to education, racism, sexism, climate change, equal pay, immigration, poverty, and religious and other bigotry. Also at issue are violence against women, health care, jobs, criminal justice reform, excessive force, science and technology, and the LGBTQ community.
Affiliated greater Cleveland activist groups, or group members, include Black on Black Crime Inc., Imperial Women Coalition, National Congress of Black Women Cleveland Chapter, Black Lives Matter, Greater Cleveland Independent Black Journalist, International Women's Day March Cleveland, League of Women Voters, Greater Cleveland Immigrant Support Network, Move to Amend, Peace Action, Women Speak Out for Peace and Justice, Carl Stokes Brigade, National Congress of Black Women, BEMAD, Protecting Our Children's Safety, Refuse Fascism Ohio, Northeast Ohio Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign, Cuyahoga County Progressive Caucus, Action Together Lakewood, Coalition to Stop the Inhumanity in the Cuyahoga County Jail, Organize Ohio, Badass Teachers, Stop Targeting Ohio's Poor, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio, Black Man's Army, and the Black Women's PAC of Greater Cleveland.
