Established in 1915, the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) is the world’s longest active women’s peace organization. As a strategic partner to Women’s March Global, WILPF brings extensive knowledge of the international legal and political frameworks to work with Women’s March Global in the support of advancing women’s rights worldwide.
WILPF Cameroon has held with the support of Women's March Global, a training workshop for 47 young people + 22 adults on the use of social media in order to prevent abuses, ease perceptible tension, and educate and raise awareness about peace and non-violence. 95 tweets were sent over the course of the weekend using the hashtag #SocialMediaForPeace from 45 users.
